BASIC RULES

IMAGES
Keep resolution to no less and no more than than 300 dpi for color and grayscale images. For bitmap images (raster based black and white images, no gray) a resolution of between 600 and 1,000 dpi works best.

FONTS
Include all fonts by either embedding the font or converting to outline. Converting fonts to outline avoids any possible reflow issues or font re-mapping.

BLEEDS
Make sure to include/add a 1/4″ bleed area to your document. Bleed is an industry term that refers to artwork that extends past the page border and will be trimmed off the final piece. Bleed is used on every job that has ink which prints to the edge of the page.

COLOR MODE
Set your color mode to CMYK. If you use RGB images in your art, you risk a color shift resulting in unexpected colors.

PDF FILES
Set your compression settings to .ZIP instead of .JPG. This will avoid adding artifacts to your images.

CUSTOM FEATURES AND SIZES

Custom presentation folders are available. Custom folders may include those with a custom cut pocket flap, a pocket folder with built in tab or folder with a CD holder slit located in the pocket flap. Please request a quote for such projects.
